Caraway is a widely used spice, it has quite a sharp smell and gives specific tart and spicy taste to meals. Ground caraway is used in salads, various pastes, salads, beetroot soup with vinegar and cheese. It is especially recommended with hard to digest and fatty meals, fried and baked potatoes, and bean dishes. It is hard to imagine cooked, raw or fermented cabbage without this fruit.
